Rosh Hashanah 5782: The Year of the Tuning Fork

For those who follow the Hebrew Calendar, we entered into the Jewish New Year 5782 on the eve of September 6, 2021. Some weeks before this new season, I inquired of the Lord for this year’s revelation, and a tuning fork immediately came into my spiritual vision. I instantly connected this with Apostle Chuck Pierce’s upcoming Glory of Zion Rosh Hashanah celebration with the theme of building the house to take place that coming weekend (Glory of Zion, 2021).

According to Breathitt (2015), a fork represents “coming to a place of decision, always take the high road or the path less traveled” (p. 169). Webster’s Dictionary defines tuning (to tune) as “agreement, harmony, in tune with the times” (Merriam-Webster, n.d., Tune). To build properly, we must be in tune with God’s Words and not people. These are indeed perilous times, and we mustn’t change our tune in doing what is right and staying in sync with God’s Truth because things are getting uncomfortable or unpopular for us.

I find myself needing to be tethered to God more than ever. Therefore, and out of great necessity, I have increased my times of prayer, praise, and worship. Walking in the conviction of our Father’s truth is critical to remaining upright and not being moved by what is happening around us. God is certainly making people choose, so we must select bravely and wisely. There is no longer a middle ground or middle of the road. You are either a goat or a sheep. Choose to be a sheep. A sheep hears the voice of the Good Shepherd (John 10:27). A goat hears a different voice that leads to death and destruction. In a tuning fork, there is no middle prong. There are only two clear options, and you must choose one or the other. In this new season, God is presenting us with only two clear choices. No longer can we claim or hide in a middle decision.

The Apostle Paul gives us a proper perspective, “For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God” (Hebrews 3:4). And the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus Christ, upon Whom all righteous things are built admonishes, “What good does it do for you to say I am your Lord and Master if you don’t put into practice what I teach you? Let me describe the one who truly follows me and does what I say: He is like a man who chooses the right place to build a house and then lays a deep and secure foundation. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it continues to stand strong and unshaken through the tempest, for he built it wisely on the right foundation. But the one who has heard my teaching and does not obey it is like a man who builds a house without laying any foundation at all. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it will immediately collapse and become a total loss. Which of these two builders will you be?” (Luke 6:46-49, TPT).

Some of the Hebrew numbers associated with this new year are 80, 2, and 22. These derive, in some form or fashion, from 5782. The number 80 (Peh) represents the mouth and speech, and 2 (Beit) represents duality (right versus wrong).  The number 22 represents the consequences of choices: either light and revelation to unlock mysteries, or disorganization, disintegration, and corruption (Breathitt, 2015).

Therefore, 5782 is a Peh Beit year, meaning what and who we agree with, how we harmonize, and what we choose to tune into determines which direction we head—either right or wrong. Since we are in the season of Peh, we must fine-tune our speech to find and flow in the frequency of Holy Spirit. This time will present us with many difficult forks in the road and many decision points. Again, God has removed the middle ground. We each must choose one of two options: to walk in the ways of God or to walk away from God’s ways. This will take courage, boldness, steadfastness, stick-to-itiveness, and a conviction that can only come from God’s Holy Spirit by Way of The Blood of Jesus. I cannot overstate enough that we must choose to walk continuously in the conviction of God’s truths in this season. We must do so in God’s great love, mercy, and grace, yet without compromise. Find your frequency by tapping into, speaking, and conducting the language of Heaven, because anything less will fall flat in terms of building God’s Kingdom.

Shanah Tova! Wishing you a good, sweet year, filled with every rich blessing from God.

With warmest regards,
And in service of The Most High King,

Matthew
