Allow God to gather you

A Daily Word from the Word for Wednesday, September 23, 2015

“Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” – Isaiah 43:5-7

I keep hearing the Lord say “I am gathering, gathering, gathering My children into My arms.” I believe this is going to be a year of the prodigals returning home like never before. It is a new year according to the Jewish Calendar, which commenced on the eve of September 13th—Rosh Hashanah. So it is indeed a new year, both in the spiritual realm and in the natural realm.

As I was gathering acorns the other day, for a greater spiritual purpose, I came upon some where there were two connected, but one was missing, with just the top present. It was then that the Lord spoke to me about gathering these, among others, which represented homes with prodigals yet to return. The Loving Father then had me pray over these various configurations, representing not only prodigals, but also broken families, and people.

If you are praying for a prodigal, be encouraged! The Lord has heard your cries and is getting ready to move in the hearts of the wayward on your behalf. If you are a prodigal son or daughter, surrender to the great love of your Heavenly Father, who so desperately wants to gather you up in His Loving arms and bring you home.

Father, we thank You for being the great Gatherer. We thank You for making us gatherers as well—gatherers of Your Word, gatherers of Your love, and gatherers of Your great mercy. Help us, Holy God, to be repairers of the breach, to stand in the gap for those who are too weak, deceived, angry, bitter, resentful, calloused, or too broken to stand for themselves. In Jesus Name, we thank You that we love You because You first loved us (1 John 4:19). Amen and Amen.

Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to ask God to reveal what is on His heart. Determine to walk in the ways and love of the Father. Be an arm of the Lord, and seek to gather what and who He has set out to redeem. And continue to fight the good fight of maintaining the mind of Christ, for God, your Purest Thought, has already given you the victory!

Jesus is coming soon!

May God Bless you and keep you always.

With warmest regards,

And, in service of The Most High King,

Matthew
